Will retailers take advantage of Pop-up stores like the
600 planned for Toys"R"Us this holiday season. For those who are not familiar with the popup store, they will be appearing
again this year in vacant spaces at malls, and just about any other place where there is retail traffic.
The store concept has been tested by many retailers and found to be successful reportedly producing $800 ~ $1,000 per
square foot in sales. These temporary stores range in presentation from the glitzy to the stark garage sale. What retailers will
be using them, and the success they have this year will of great interest to those companies who provide their print graphics.
The Popup store is not just a national phenomena, Vans was seen in France with a PopUp in Marais neighborhood of Paris.
This is a opportunity for full service Large Format Printers to use the full range of print formats they provide. PopUp
stores rely heavily on print graphics to provide the atmosphere for the experience. Empty store spaces are
temporally transformed into branded sites. Popup stores are great venues for testing new store concepts.
B3DigiGrafx has added another print format to its capabilities the Océ Arizona 550 XT. Printing of large format rigid
materials like Sintra, FoamCore and even Wood products is nothing new at B3. The addition of the Océ Arizona 550 XT with
“Near-photographic image quality” and high speed adds to its range as a complete solution to retailers. We will begin
offering the most aggressive retail display graphic package in November. Samples of this Near-photographic image quality
are in the works.
B3DigiGrafx will be participating in the
Inland Empire Largest Mixer on the 27th of November at the Ontario Convention Center.
